Welcome to MDTP
Make Disciples Training Program (MDTP) is a worldwide training program for equipping and mobilizing Christians to "make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that [Jesus] commanded [us]" (Matt. 28:19-20a).
What's the difference between teaching and training? In teaching, the student learns. In training, the student does what is learned. By the end of the ten weeks of training, the student will be a confident soul-winner.
MDTP has been taught in New Zealand, and it is planned for Fiji and the United States of America. We hope that the list of countries will steadily grow!
Congregational & Personal
MDTP is ready to be implemented as a congregational Bible class or in a regular home setting, depending on the needs of the students.
Students trained in MDTP will graduate with a workable knowledge of Scripture that will equip them to make disciples. They will also have lifetime access to expedient tools for evangelism.
The Church Will Grow For the Lord's Glory!
The last commandment and promise the Lord left for His disciples before leaving earth was, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:19-20).
Jesus taught those eleven men to teach all of the new disciples to obey all of His commandments, which would include the one at hand–the one to make disciples. Therefore, the responsibility of disciple-making in the 21st century falls on us. Not only do we inherit this commandment, we also will enjoy the promise that goes along with it–the promise of the presence of the Lord!
The therefore in "Go therefore" is based on the authority of Jesus Christ (see v. 18). Since it's the case that Jesus has been given all authority, we should take His directive of disciple-making seriously.
MDTP is designed to train and equip any member of the Lord's church for personal evangelsim, whether he or she has experience in evangelism or not. Are you ready to lead your friends to the cross of Christ? You won't be alone; He promises to go with you.
